Our commitment to child safe standards
Yellow Ladybugs supports and respects all children, as well as its staff and volunteers.
We are committed to upholding the Victorian Child Safe Standards to the best of our abilities and resources.
We are committed to:
- the participation and empowerment of all children.
-
the cultural safety of Aboriginal children and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability.
Yellow Ladybugs has a zero tolerance of child abuse. We will:
- identify risks to child safety as early as possible and remove and/or reduce these risks.
-
treat all safety concerns brought to our attention seriously and consistently with our policies and procedures.
To protect the people we work with we insist that all of our volunteers and staff:
- have a current working with children check
-
are fully vaccinated for COVID 19.
To achieve this we have established:
- robust HR and recruitment practices for all staff and volunteers.
-
policies, procedures and training to support our leadership team, staff and volunteers to achieve our commitment.
-
regular training and education for staff who interact with children and families.
